Bijans are a subterranean race living in Bijou. They were a central part of the quest, Guardians of Bijou.

-Bijans are made of a mysterious spiritual energy. They're described as "magical", "gaseous", and "fragile beings".
-To protect themselves, they create a thick rock skin, first using soft minerals such as dust and gravel before moving on to harder rocks such as granite as they age.
-At a certain age, they can even drain the magical essence of Cierites, inheriting the gem's properties and leaving the valuable crystal behind.
