Manon Nouvelle is a comic duelist and the first duelist created by AudibleSwiftness (previously named SoundofSpeed). She is a muscular female with black hair, black eyes, and a eye patch. She was the only duelist to reach master rank.
Background[]
Manon was born in a land on the other end of the planet, called Cyruvia. Circumstances brought her to Cier, where she found purpose in dueling.
After a devastating encounter with the legendary warlord Lothric, Manon has left her Cierian family to live on her own in Highgate; proud to be a Master-Rank Duelist. When not dueling, she works as a personal trainer for a Highgate fitness centre.
As a Duelist, she works with local law enforcement, and often ventures outside Highgate to take on known criminals or troublemakers.
Manon fought for many years as a duelist and bounty hunter, becoming known as a force to be reckoned with. But, after finding out a friend of hers died by the hands of a duelist, she considered giving up the profession entirely. Picking a fight with Fables, however, proved to be… temporarily fatal.
She was trapped inside a Cierite, unable to interact at all with the world around her. The Cierite was found by Tirza Ali- a MRCI operative investigating the aftermath of Manon’s fight with Fables. Sensing some sort of magic involved with the crystal, Tirza took it to a witch in MicFortress about a year later. The witch- Alys McKenzie- was able to release Manon from the crystal.
Two years after her disappearance, she’s ready to fight once again- now fighting as a bounty hunter, vigilante, and unofficial Duelist all-in-one. She lives in a small city flat, in the south of the MicFortress domain.

Neiran Cryomancy[]
Ice-based magic that looks and moves like fire, but freezes and crystalizes as it comes into contact.
Cyruvian Speedflames[]
A fire-appearing magic that either speeds up or slows down an object as it comes into contact with it. They’re very finicky, though- there’s a 33% chance they’ll take the opposite effect than she wills. (I.e, if she wants to speed herself up, there’s a chance she’ll actually slow herself down.)
The effect lasts only a few seconds, regardless of the size of an object- and she can cast them every few minutes.

In an ideal condition, she’s very talkative, in a real-world London/Cockney dialect. She loves to be the centre of attention, and will go out of her way to be friendly and helpful. In friendly duels, she makes an effort to not seriously injure a person.
However, under stressful or antagonising circumstances, such as more violent duels, she’s almost the opposite. Depending on the opponent, and what they could do to another person, she’ll decide herself whether or not they should be allowed to live. Her sense of right and wrong is not very clear, and does not fight with a real sense of honour.
Present[]
Manon can be friendly if she wants, but typically keeps her distance around strangers. If her first impression of a person isn’t good, it’s not likely she’ll ever adjust her opinion. However, if someone does manage to break through, she’s very loyal to her friends.
She talks a lot- usually without discretion. Swearing is a second language. Somewhat overconfident in herself, she can come across as egotistical.
She fights to win, and abides only by her own moral compass. She won’t shy away from killing an opponent if she feels it’s right.

- She speaks Native Cyruvian, “Common” (English in a London accent.)
- She has a strong sense of justice. If the opponent is a known criminal or dangerous person, she’ll go out of her way to take them out.
- She’s well known for having a huge collection of Rice and Cierites.
- She’ll pick a fight to take a cocky opponent down a notch- whether she actually can or not, is another matter.
- She really likes kids- if she runs into a kid who wants to be a duelist, she’ll give them a fair but fun fight.
